1950-1962

Our journey began in 1949, and between 1950 and 1962 we opened our first office at 1 Victoria Street, Burnham on Sea. This was where the foundations of the business were established and our long standing presence in the local community began.

From the outset, we focused on delivering a reliable, professional service and building strong relationships, values that still define the business today.

The corner position gave us greater visibility and accessibility, helping us reach a wider audience and strengthen our presence locally. It marked an important stage in our growth, as we expanded while remaining committed to the same high standards of service.

1962-1970

We moved to our current premises at 18 College Street, Burnham on Sea in 1962, early in the company’s development. This marked a key step forward, giving Abbott & Frost a more prominent base and the space to grow the business and better serve clients.

The move reflected our growing reputation and long term commitment to the local community. Over the years, 18 College Street has become closely associated with Abbott & Frost, a well known and trusted location where generations of clients have been welcomed and supported.

1994

Around 1994, we took another step forward by expanding into the corner shop on Victoria Street, formerly a china shop. This was not just about gaining more space, it reflected our ambition to grow and better meet the needs of our clients.

The prominent corner position improved our visibility and accessibility, allowing us to reach a wider audience and strengthen our position within the local community. It marked another important stage in our development, as we continued to grow while maintaining the same commitment to service and standards.

We then undertook a full rebrand to modernise the business while respecting our long established roots. The aim was to present a clearer, more relevant identity that reflects how we operate today and how we engage with our clients and the local community. From our updated logo and signage to a stronger online presence, every element was refined to reinforce professionalism, trust and a forward thinking approach.

This was not just a visual update. It marked a clear step forward in how we position the business in a competitive and changing market. The rebrand reflects our ongoing commitment to high standards, strong communication and delivering results, while continuing the values that have underpinned Abbott & Frost for decades.

2025

A fresh look, same Abbott & Frost. In 2025 we reinstated our historic name and refreshed our red, white and black branding to create a cleaner, sharper identity that reflects who we are today. We have been part of Burnham on Sea since 1949, helping generations move across Burnham, Highbridge, Brent Knoll, Mark and the surrounding villages. From handwritten ledgers to modern portals and now a touchscreen display in our window, one thing has not changed, straight talking advice, fair dealing and sales that actually complete.
